DELVIC Sanitation Initiatives

As an active member of SusanA (Sustainable Sanitation Alliance) at african and international levels, DELVIC Sanitations Initiatives and   the Department of Sanitation, Water, and Solid Waste for Development at Eawag, SANDEC  worked togheter in a research project on faecal sludge. The goal was to collect faecal sludge samples in public and private sanitation facilities. To achieve this goal, DELVIC Sanitations Initiatives worked closely with VICAS, one of a key members of sanitation private sector and the Institute of Environmental Sciences (IES) of SENEGAL. DAKAR le 07 Mars 2018 2018 montre encore   le manque d’équipements sanitaires à l’échelle communautaire, rural, urbain et péri-urbain, les femmes en souffrent à tout âge, malgré la compétence du secteur privé dont DELVIC SI fait preuve dans la conception et la réalisation de toilettes adaptées en zones inondables, plusieurs femmes au Sénégal peinent à être à l’aise dans leurs besoins les plus naturels. En prélude de la Journée internationale des droits de   la Femme, ce 08 Mars 2018, de nombreuses femmes en milieu rural, urbain, péri urbain n’ont toujours pas accès à un assainissement non collectif.
